 MOTHER OF INVENTION – 2020:

Mother of invention, indeed.  WOW!  Let the Count Down Begins!  It is inspiring and exciting to welcome 2020 in just a few days.  What message do we have for 2019 and what is yet to accomplish in 2019, welcome a new decade 2020?  It is great to be a witness to a beautiful new year.  What are we carrying over into 2020 from 2019?  Too many questions, are there answers?  Firstly, above all else, we must remember to be thankful for this day.

WHAT IS NECESSITY AND MOTHER OF INVENTION

A need to make it happen, you find a way to break out and achieve your wish.  It is a periodic proverb of ages.  Old things pass away and new ideas being.  Life is a journey, and life experience must go on.  Therefore, we must have had excellent or unacceptable experiences in 2019.  What are we going to do about it?  A change, decision making, discipline, determination, acceptance and or do nothing?

LIFE IS A JOURNEY

Hence life is a journey.  It is best to look forward to a right course of change, and accept situation either good or bad in other to make that change.  With determination and discipline to succeed, the sky would be the limit.  Life is tough, and only the strong survive the odds.  It is, therefore, paramount that we remain strong no matter what.  We must face life because it is not a matter of choice.  Although we have a choice, best to chose wisely and faced life irrespective.  Once we are alive, we are supposed to meet each day as it comes. With a little prayer, we will survive and succeed.

THE MESSAGE

The message is that we should make a list of the plan of action for 2020, write them down securely, this is your Goal, trust instinct, believe, be inspired, determined and have a focus. Keep the commitment to maximum, be honest to oneself in all actions, don’t just write it, do it!  In six months, review your list and see if there is a need to carry on with the existing plan, or necessity to amend.  Sleep well, eat and relax, keep a healthy lifestyle, and you will be fit to carry out your 2020 wish list.  Ask for Wisdom because Wisdom creates insight and understanding.  Meanwhile, knowledge brings about physical and physical becomes a reality. May you receive the Gift of the Highest.

CHRISTMAS REFLECTION

THE CHRISTMAS REFLECTION: 

Christmas is an exciting season and it includes the New Year.  Everyone says “what do you want for Christmas and many ask what is your New Year Resolution”.  Really, what do we want for Christmas and what do we aspire to achieve from our New Year Resolution?

WHAT I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS

First is to keep a clean home, cleanliness is holiness.  We should clean our houses, windows, change curtains, dust every corner and be free of flu, infections and be happy.  Clean home brings joy. Well, looking forward to Christmas and New Year is usually an exciting moment for evreryone.
 
What do you want for Christmas? Gifts, new wardrobe of clothes, marriage, education, travelling, jobs, new activities or creativity, and or good health, given, peace and joy?  These are wants and needs but, however, the most important comes out to be the  health because where there is good health other things are achievable.
 
Christmas is a time for sharing, sharing goodwill, given to those who have no food to eat, no clothes to wear, no shelter, and have nothing to celebrate the Christmas. Time to forgive one another, time to make peace with old friends and family. Time for broken homes to reunite, and marriages getting stronger in peace and harmony.  Family is very important thus a good time for family to stand together.  Happiness is a strong source of good health, therefore, everyone deserves to be happy.

What is your New Year Resolution for 2020?  Guess we all want positive changes.  Changes from old habbits that does no good. “WHERE THERE IS A GOAL, A WILL, THERE IS A WAY”.  Determination, passion and committment is the key to achieve a New Year Resolution.  Above all else, resolution toward healthy lifestyle is a way forward, a decision to start exercising, maintaln a balanced diet, visit Generall Practitioner on time if experiencing any health concern, prevention is better than cure.

High blood pressure varies throughout the day.  It can go down if you are asleep or sitting quietly and can go up if you are rushing about or stressed.  High blood pressure develops when the strength of the blood running through the arteries is consistently too high.  The medical term for high blood pressure is hypertension.

WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND STROKE

If you have high blood pressure untreated to keep it under control, it increases the risk of having a stroke.  High blood pressure is the single most significant risk factor for stroke, causing about 50 per cent of strokes due to a blockage (Ischaemic strokes).  It also increases the risk of bleeding in the brain (called a haemorrhagic stroke).

High blood pressure puts a strain on all the blood vessels throughout the body, including the ones leading to the brain.  As a result, the heart has to work much harder to keep the blood circulation going.  This strain can damage the blood vessels, causing them to become harder and narrower, a condition called atherosclerosis.  It makes a blockage more likely to occur, which could cause a stroke or transient ischaemic attack (TIA, sometimes called a mini-stroke).

WHAT ARE THE CAUSES HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE 

High blood pressure can develop for a variety of reasons.  Lifestyle factors such as being overweight, smoking, drinking too much alcohol, not exercising and eating an unhealthy diet can all lead to high blood pressure.  Blood pressure tends to rise as we get older, so the pressure is more common in middle-aged and older people.  Underlining medical conditions leads to high blood pressure in some cases.  Some people are also more at risk than others.  Blood pressure problems can run in families and certain ethnic groups, such as South Asian and African-Caribbean.

HOW DO YOU MEASURE BLOOD PRESSURE

Measuring blood pressure is quick, painless and straightforward.  Measurement is carried out at the doctor’s surgery in the community and in-patient at the hospitals. Individuals can take their blood measurement at home with blood pressure monitors. A cuff is placed around your arm and then inflated, while a machine records your blood pressure. Sometimes the doctor will use a stethoscope to listen to the blood flow more significant if irregular heartbeat called atrial fibrillation is present.

 DIAGNOSES AND TREATMENT

Before being diagnosed with high blood pressure, doctors may take a few readings over days or weeks to make sure that the top results are consistent, and it’s not a reaction to being at the surgery or in the hospital.  Some people feel anxious about having their blood pressure taken and have a high reading then when at other times the blood pressure is normal. Most people with high blood pressure will need to take medication to reduce it.  Changing lifestyle can also help to bring it down. The doctor will usually aim to reduce the upper figure of blood pressure to lower numbers.  If diabetes, strokes or heart attack is present, the aim will be to reduce the blood pressure even further.  To achieve this target is not always possible, but small reductions in the blood pressure can significantly reduce the risk of having a stroke.
